Quick Summary
This discussion explores the correct accounting treatment for a used LCD screen purchased for office use. The consensus suggests expensing it as a computer accessory or peripheral due to its nominal cost, rather than capitalising it as an asset. The low price point makes it suitable for immediate expensing under indirect costs.

Yes. Treat it as spares

Dear Raja PM,

This screen will be connected to CPU which used for preparing documents.

It is 2nd hand item.

I meant its price is very petty around 4k that is why I am thinking to not record it as Assets and expense it out ?

Dear Yassawi Gomes,

Thanks for your reply.

Please let me know can we record it as computer expense or computer accessories under indirect expenses ?

Computer accessories or peripherals would be fine.
