26as has been updated by some agency after processing of my return for AY 2019-20. how can I get my excess TDS refunded . please advice.

You can very well file a Revised Return of Income.

since u hv filed your returns the. tds deducted will automatically be refunded in your pre-validated bank account.

The refund credited only in my prevalidated account, which I was claimed in the return.

You can claim TDS which has come to your 26AS statement after you filed your ITR , okk.

But for that corresponding income you also have to show in the ITR. if you considered that income then it's okk.

You do not expect to receive anything automatically . it hardly happens.

Here it's not claimed in the ITR. You have first to claim TDS with a link to corresponding head of income.

The solution is you have right to file revised return upto 31-3-2020 and so exercise your right.

The return is already processed but you can still file revised return under 139(5) as above.

Meantime you pre-validate bank account if it's not done yet. Act fast.
