Filled Application to Assessing Officer or CPC-TDS for rectification of errors.
CPC-TDS has responded stating "We have taken note of your request related to the functionality of 26QC correction. The functionality is being considered. The Deductors shall be informed through the TRACES portal as soon as the functionality is implemented". If this is not done by the deadline of 31 July, we will have to file our IT Returns with the error(s) reflecting in our Form 26AS. Please elaborate on "Filled Application to Assessing Officer" because this solution was not available when I spoke with the Assessing Officer. Thank you.
WHILE FILING FORM 26QC THE DATEOF DEDUCTION FOR FY 2017-18 WAS MENTIONED 31ST MARCH 2018 INSTEAD OF 30TH JUNE 2018 WHEN THE TDS WAS ATUALLY DEDUCTED FROM RENTAL PAYMENT FOR WHOLE FINANCIAL YEAR.
Q1. CAN WE CHANGE THE DATE OF DEUDUCTION FROM 31ST MARCH 2018 TO 30TH JUNE 2018?
Q2. HOW CAN WE REVISE FORM 26QC? (Due to 31st March deduction its leving heavy penalty)

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
This is to inform you that functionality for online correction of Form 26QC is now available to the deductor (Tenant). Only registered Tenant(s) on TRACES can submit the request for "26QC correction" under "Statement/Forms" Tab. The Tenant can log in to www.tdscpc.gov.in and make the online correction request in the respective fields. 26QC Correction is applicable from Financial Year 2017-18 onwards.
Following fields can be corrected through online correction :
1. PAN Details (Tenant/Landlord)
2. Date of Payment/Credit
3. Date of Deduction
4. Amount Paid/Credited
5. Property Details (Let Out)
6. Total Value of Rent Payable
7. Value of Last Month Rent Paid
