[Question] Do I Need to Do My B.com for CA

i heard somewhere thant institute has bann now doing regular bcom with CA..... But its my opinion please go for graduation... its must.... Go dude... it will be beneficial for you.... u can study for CA and give your bcom paper as per knowledge u gained from CA books... u will find bcom exam really simple...

The thing is , i have always dreamnt to become a charter thats why i did opt for commerce , moreover i was a v.good student of science , but i wanted to pursue my career only as a charter.

do i should really, go for graduation , as really i hate going to colledge :D

Yes its very important that u shld be a graduate. Best example is me. I havent done my graduation, thought i will be a CA so whats need to do graduation. Time passed, and i joined a MNC. They asked about my graduation certificate. I told them that i dont have coz i havent done graduation. As i was a member of pilot project, they selected me and told not to disclose any one. There after i have given a lot of interviews and cleared them like genpact, goldman sachs, BOA etc but they told me that without BCOM we cant consider you.

But again my Luck supported me and i joined another company and they too accepted me due to knowledge in hedge fund.

So dude never think to ignore ur BCOM. if i have done it in 2003, then today i might me on position of Process Manager.

So first complete ur BCOM man n dont waste ur time

In Graduation, do i need to have Hons. in any subject ? and

secondly, can i do my graduation and be at the icai instutute ( meaning doing my Character) simultaneously ?

Regarding my pressure :- I can manage anything to be a Charter :D

if u dont want to go college, just enroll for IGNOU. there is MOU between ICAI n IGNOU. It will help you n less pressure.

not necessary to be hons. just u can do simple BCOM n ya u can do CA n BCOM simultaneously but time of articleship n classes shouldn't clash.

Get registered in the Local UNiversity for Correspondence Course or a really good University like IGNOU. Do it directly, don't do it with MoU. Still people are apprehensive about it.

Get a B.Com degree. Most exams are easily clearable.

Do B.com private study (without going to regular college study and without interrupting articleship) after taking prior permission fromCA institute .The knowledge gained during articleship as well as through theoretical study of  PCC/IPCC will help you to succeed in B.com smoothly .By the time you complete PCC/IPCC and before final exam you will be able to take B.com degree.So. go ahead.

B.com is not  necessary for joining CA course. you have to qualfy in CPT.That is all.However , you do B.com simulataneously as i mentioned in my earlier reply.

B.com is not required at all..it do not even adds to ur knowledge n will not help u in CA xams ....but as Mr Shashank has righly said that this illiterate world want that poor B.com along with CA..too disgusting .....they do not understand d importance of CA ????...so u must do B.com ....u should join IGNOU for that....u will find it very easy ...even now i m in finals n decided to do B.com frm IGNOU

yes , i am also thinking of doing both CA Articles ship , with 3 ys of B.com with Hons. in Financial A/c :D

it will help me  with my CA Inter Aswell as what my teacher and my father says as the study mat is same , with difficult questions in Inter

dude if u do not want do do Bcom then dont do. there r many graduation courses like LAW for 5 years degree course. BCom and CA studies are all most same and companies want the graduation degree.

whether its BCom or LAW.

You will get more experience doing LAW with CA. But first concentrate on CA cpt and ipcc studies.

if u clear it in first attempt then join the big 4's. and then start for law studies. you will wast 1&0.5 years but you will come in ca final and after 3 yrs of articalship your 2 years of law studies remains.

after completion of law you will get an experience of 2yrs in big 4s and then go for another interview with 2yrs experience + law degree.

you will suffer now but your future will change .......
