Thanks Surendra Sir, for such a wonderful post. The speech was really an eye-opener for all commerce students. If we put our efforts well and practically apply the knowledge, then definitely we can make a better career and would be of great help to our organisations and society.

really great , practical and nice post sir ! plz share always . i want to ask u sir what the things which make us practical and think practical like you ?? plz give an answer to my this question if u can sir . |
.
The question raised by you is very relevant and important to everyone.
.
I first of all thank you to be eager to make a good career.
.
While reading a subject keep the following things in your mind :
.
1. Why I should read a particular subject ? Just because it is in syllabus ?
.
2. What is the utility of the subject ?
.
3. What will it add to my knowledge ?
.
4. Above all; what will it add to my career ?
.
And the most important to understand the practical use of the subject is -
.
5. See who is the person who really utilizes this subject as his career ? See the renowned persons who are in that particular field.
.
To understand the above questions more clearly, I give one example.
.
I choose to take the subject of LAW as an example.
.
( E-se example ko Jhelna Bahut Bhari Padega )
.
For almost all the students; this is a theory subject.
.
Then first question is raised. Why I should read this subject.
.
TO BEGIN WITH, I wish to remind you the "day" when you started reading this subject.
.
You started to read it because it was in your syllabus.
.
Right ?
.
For the time being; I take that the first question is answered.
.
2. Think about some utility of the law, more particularly say it as law and order.
.
During your school education, you have seen that discipline is the most important part of the education. You see that ethics are also very important part of the education.
.
Do you really believe that ethics are so important as a part of the education ?
.
But what really happen when students go to the college ? They are supposed to follow self discipline as it is expected that they are matured enough to follow the discipline.
.
But, they generally forget the discipline and do whatever they wish !
.
The result is -
.
They waste their valuable time which could be invested in reading the LAW subject properly.
.
Those who don't follow the natural law, commit crimes.
.
For this reason; punishment are imposed on them.
.
What types of crimes are there and what types of punishments should be there; an indepth study of LAW is necessary.
.
During school days; many times a student is caught because he don't follow the discipline. The Student ( the accused ) pretends that situations were beyond his control. To check, parents are called ( as if they are Legal Representative of the student ). Explanations are taken ( as if school is a court ). Reasons are recorded and finally Principal ( the judge ) decides the case.
.
All the above; is a practical example of LAW and ORDER.
.
During social life; those who don't follow ethics, do crimes. May be realted to civil or criminal and so on.................
.
I hope that u t i l i t y and k n o w l e d g e related questions are answered in the above.
Regarding 4th question; how to build career in the Law, an indepth study of provisions of Law is a must to know how the cases are decided ( looking to the dediced case laws).
.
Here also students read the case laws, keep in their memory and just write in the exams to score better !
.
Actually whatever is suggested in the study materials to refer so many books on a single subject; is never referred by the students. Because they just want to pass the subject anyhow.
.
I just wish to ask about your attitude when you go to a party. Why you have to check so many dresses to decide which one is the best for the party. Despite the fact that a particular dress is the best, if the dressing sense is not there.............( I don't wish to comment further).
.
I think that the question number 5 is already answered in the above writing.
.
.
.
.
.
( Please excuse me if I have hurt the feelings of some students. Believe me, there is no intention to hurt anyone's feelings, it is just to warn those students who take the career building subjects so lightly. They never try to think at their own on the subjects ).
