FAQ :
The purpose of this notification is to amend Customs Notification No. 8/2020-Customs to reflect changes consequential to the enactment of the Finance Act, 2020.
Customs Notification No. 8/2020-Customs, dated 2nd February 2020, is being amended.
The enactment of the Finance Act, 2020 has led to these amendments.
References to 'clause 139 of the Finance Bill, 2020' and 'under the said clause of the Finance Bill' are being replaced with 'section 141 of Finance Act, 2020' and 'under the said section of the said Finance Act', respectively.
The amendments are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, read with section 141 of the Finance Act, 2020.
