FAQ :

The new regulations are called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2021.

These regulations come into force from April 1, 2022.

Any acquirer, along with persons acting in concert, acquiring shares or voting rights that aggregate to five per cent or more in a target company must disclose their aggregate shareholding and voting rights.
