G.S.R. ......(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-sections (1) and (8) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide corresponding numbers G.S.R. as specified in column (3) of the said Table, with effect from a date as specified in column (4) of the said Table, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission, namely:-

FAQ :

Notification No. 05/2022-Customs serves to rescind (cancel) a list of previously issued customs notifications.

The notifications being rescinded include: 10/95, 26/99, 27/2004, 14/2006, 48/2006, 90/2007, 8/2011, 24/2011, 49/2013, 23/2014, 37/2015, 11/2016, 20/2020, 40/2020, and 82/2017-Customs.

The rescissions take effect on dates specified in the notification's table, ranging from 2nd February 2022 to 1st May 2022.

The rescissions are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, read with sub-sections (1) and (8) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.

No, the rescission does not affect things done or omitted to be done before the effective date of each respective rescission.
