The main purpose is to amend the Customs Act, 1962, by removing certain entries from the First Schedule and other redundant entries.
Notification No. 37/2017-Customs and Notification No. 52/2017-Customs are being amended.
Serial Numbers 6, 7, and their related entries in the TABLE of Notification No. 37/2017-Customs are being omitted.
The omission of entries from Notification No. 37/2017-Customs takes effect from the 2nd February, 2022.
Serial Numbers 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, and their related entries in the TABLE of Notification No. 52/2017-Customs are being omitted.
The omission of entries from Notification No. 52/2017-Customs takes effect from the 1st May, 2022.
