FAQ :
The Investor Charter is designed to give investors a clear understanding of various activities related to primary market issuances and exit options like takeovers, buybacks, or delistings, all in one easy-to-understand document.
The Investor Charter must cover Initial Public Offer (IPO), Further Public Offer (FPO), Offer for Sale (OFS), Rights Issue, Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), Preferential Issue, SME IPO and FPO, Buyback of Securities, Delisting of Equity Shares, and Substantial Acquisitions of Shares and Takeovers.
Merchant bankers must disclose data on complaints received against them or against issues they have dealt with, along with the redressal of these complaints. This should be done separately for each category and collectively.
These disclosure requirements will come into effect from January 01, 2022.
Merchant bankers must disclose complaint data on their websites by the 7th of the succeeding month.
