INVITATION TO THE MEMBERS OF THE INSTITUTE TO BE A PART OF THE CFO (CORPORATE ACCOUNTANTS) GUILD

It is being witnessed over the years that the Members in Industry do get alienated from the mainstream of the profession owing to their commitments. Of late, the trend is that more members are opting to serve in Industry thereby increasing the numbers substantially.
Opposing professional interest indicate that definite disconnect between Members in practice and Members in Industry, respectively. To arrest this apparently widening gap, necessity is felt to provide for a platform where meaning interaction could be initiated amongst both sides of the same fraternity. The Committee for Members in Industry of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has developed a CFO guild (Corporate Accountants Guild).
This CFO (Corporate Accountants) Guild is for our members who are occupying high positions (CEO/CFO/Treasury Head/Head of Analyst, GM or above) in Industry. The primary objective of setting up such a guild is to develop a platform where highly intellectual & talented pool of people from various organizations can discuss various issues concerning the profession in general and for Members in Industry in particular. They can plan, formulate and strategize policies for improving the image of the Chartered Accountants in the eyes of the Industry. Industry specific seminars/ Conferences/ Round Table meetings can also be organized to discuss the matters pertaining to the industry and make them the Brand Ambassadors of the profession. The Members shall also be apprised of the various happenings of the Institute, and emailed the updates from the PDC Portal of the Institute, from time to time. Further the views/ inputs shall also be sought from the members registered on the guild on various Exposure Drafts of the Accounting Standards issued by the Institute from time to time. The members of the Guild shall also be considered for the panel of the examiners of the Institute and as a faculty.
