Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Professional Agencies) Regulations, 2016
IBBI/2016-17/GN/REG002.- In exercise of the powers conferred b). sections.. 196, 201, 202. 219. and 220 read with section 240 or the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. 2016 (31 of 21)16), the Board hereby makes the following Regulations to pro‘.ide a framework for regulation of insolvency professional agencies in terms hereol namely-
CHAPTER I PREIINIINARY
Short title and commencement.
1. (I) These Reetthitions may be called the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Professional Agencies) Roguintions, 2016.
(2) The Regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette,
Definitions.
2. ( In these Revmlations, unleT, the context otherwise requires - (a) "Code" means the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. 2016;
(a) "control" shall have the sante meaning as assigned to it in section 2(27) or the Companies Act, 2013;
(c) "certificate of reuistration" means a certificate of registration granted or renewed by the Board under these Regulations;
(d) "net vi,or-th- shall have the same meaning as assigned to it under section 2(57) of the Companies Act, 2013,
