Amendment in Export Policy of Onions

Notification No. 50/2015-2020

Subject : Amendment in Export Policy of Onions.

S.O. 4740(E). - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in Notification No. 31/2015-20 dated 14.09.2020 amending the Export Policy of Onion for the item description at Serial Numbers 51 & 52 of Chapter 7 of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import Items, with effect from 01.01.2021.

2. Effect of this Notification:

The Export of all varieties of Onions, as described above, has been made “Free” with effect from 01.01.2021.

Accordingly, the Notification No. 39/2015-20 dated 09.10.2020 related to export of Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram Onions also stands withdrawn with effect from 01.01.2021.
