The new GST Bhawan is intended to improve tax administration, enhance public service, and accommodate various CGST Delhi formations, facilitating efficient interstate commerce and taxpayer interaction.
The Minister advised officers to remind MSMEs of their obligations, showcase government initiatives for simplifying tax compliance, and use simple and clear communication with taxpayers.
The new GST Bhawan is expected to save the government approximately £5 crore annually in rental costs.
A new GST Suvidha Kendra has been established inside the office building to further enhance the interface between taxpayers and departmental officials.
