The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the CA Intermediate January 2026 examination results, along with the official pass percentage, merit list, and toppers' marksheets. The results show a 13.96% pass rate for Group I, 15.54% for Group II, and 9.39% for candidates appearing in both groups, reflecting the challenging nature of the exam.
In the merit list, Kanhiya Lal secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with 508 marks, followed by Fathima Shehza K with 504 marks and Vanya Bansal with 498 marks.
Kanhiya Lal scored 246 marks in Group I and 262 marks in Group II, showing exceptional performance across subjects such as Advanced Accounting, Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting, and Auditing.
The result data also indicates that 105,526 candidates appeared in Group I, 69,477 in Group II and 41,798 candidates appeared for both groups, with thousands successfully clearing one of India’s toughest professional accounting exams.
