Suggestions for Election Reforms & Amendment in CS Regulations

Suggestions for Amendments in the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, Regulations and Rules made thereunder and for Election Reforms in the conduct of Elections to the Council/ Regional Councils/ Chapters of the Institute The Council of the Institute at its 200^th meeting constituted, inter-alia the following Committees:-

(i) Regulations Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri Sanjay Grover, Council Member, the ICSI to examine the provisions of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, Rules made thereunder by the Central Government, the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982 and to suggest suitable amendments in the same.

(ii) Election Reforms Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri Harish K. Vaid, Council Member, the ICSI to suggest reforms in the Legal framework to simplify and smoothen the conduct of Elections of the Council/ Regional Councils/ Chapters of the Institute.

All the members of the Institute are requested to send their valuable suggestions/ views for amendments in the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 & the Rules and Regulations made thereunder and for Election Reforms in the conduct of Elections to the Council/ Regional Councils/ Chapters of the Institute for consideration of the respective Committees. The suggestions/views may be sent on or before 31st July, 2011 to s.kumar@icsi.edu and meenakshi.gupta @icsi. edu.
