Strict security an answer to the paper leak of ICAI entrance exams!!

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is taking full care and precaution for its rescheduled Common Proficiency Test entrance exam scheduled for August 26. ICAI President Sunil Talati said extra efforts have been made to ensure full-proof security of the entire examination process. “Keeping in mind security concerns, we cannot share the measures we have taken. But I can assure everyone that the institute is taking every possible step in order to have a fair examination. I hope the seriousness of the matter will be understood by all.” Around 82,000 students will re-appear for the test, which was cancelled earlier on August 5 this year, following reported leak of the examination paper. Talati further requested students to report any untoward incidents to the police or the institute immediately. Following the reported paper leak, ICAI had established a seven-member committee, headed by senior advocate OP Vaish, to look for loose ends in the examination system. The committee is expected to come up with guidelines for streamlining the process of examination and preventing any problems in the future. No time limit has been set for the committee to come up with its recommendations. “Our second CPT will take place on November 1, this year, alongwith professional exams,” Talati added. The recommendations should come before that.
