There were 58.57 lakh first-time ITR filers by 31st July 2024.
There was a 7.5% increase in ITR filings compared to AY 2023-24, which saw 6.77 crore returns filed by 31st July 2023.
As of 31st July 2024, more than 2.69 crore ITRs for AY 2024-2025 have been processed.
