As of 25.11.2022, over 37.76 crore loans have been disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.

The total amount disbursed under the PMMY since its inception is over Rs. 20.43 lakh crore.

According to a Ministry of Labour and Employment survey, the PMMY helped generate 1.12 crore net additional employments between 2015 and 2018.

Under the PMMY, collateral-free institutional credit up to Rs. 10 lakh is provided.

Any individual who is eligible to take a loan and has a business plan for a small business enterprise can avail a loan under the scheme.

The loans are offered in three categories: Shishu (up to Rs. 50,000), Kishore (above Rs. 50,000 and up to Rs. 5 lakh), and Tarun (above Rs. 5 lakh and up to Rs. 10 lakh).
