The Unified Lending Interface (ULI) is a new system developed by the RBI to make credit more accessible to MSMEs by simplifying the loan application process and reducing documentation requirements.
ULI will benefit MSMEs by enabling frictionless credit, transforming the lending landscape, and making credit more accessible through quicker and better-informed loan decisions by lenders.
Other measures include an additional Rs. 9,000 crore corpus for the Credit Guarantee Scheme, increased guarantee ceiling to Rs. 10 crore, the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme offering margin money subsidy, the PM Vishwakarma scheme providing loans with interest subvention, and the Self Reliant India (SRI) Fund for equity investment.
The Ministry of MSME launched the SAMADHAAN Portal to monitor outstanding dues and has established Micro & Small Enterprises Facilitation Councils (MSEFCs). An Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Portal has also been launched for digitised resolution of delayed payment cases.
The SRI Fund has been set up with Rs. 50,000 crore to provide equity funding to viable MSMEs with growth potential, with Rs. 10,000 crore from the government and Rs. 40,000 crore from Private Equity/Venture Capital Funds.
