The government has extended the deadline for linking PAN cards with Aadhaar cards to 31st March 2022.
Union Minister of State for Finance Shri Pankaj Chaudhary stated the number in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
Difficulties can arise from mismatches in name, date/year of birth, or mobile number required for OTP verification.
Taxpayers can get their Aadhaar details corrected by the concerned authority if there is a mismatch.
If a mismatch or difficulty regarding the PAN card is identified, action is taken, and a resolution is provided to the taxpayer.
