Total receipts by January 2023 were ₹19,76,483 crore, which is 81.3% of the corresponding revised estimate for FY 2022-23.
₹6,67,770 crore was transferred to State Governments as their share of taxes, which is ₹1,22,378 crore higher than the previous year.
Total expenditure by the Government of India was ₹31,67,648 crore, representing 75.7% of the revised estimate for FY 2022-23.
Out of the total revenue expenditure, ₹7,38,658 crore was for interest payments and ₹3,99,400 crore was for major subsidies.
