The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced an extension of timelines for approved name reservations and e-form resubmissions affected by the recent data centre disruptions following the fire incident reported on June 5, 2026.
The decision comes as the MCA continues capacity enhancement and restoration activities at its data centre infrastructure. The extension is aimed at minimizing compliance hardships faced by stakeholders during the period of service disruption.

Relief for Approved Name Reservations
According to the MCA circular, approved name reservations whose validity is scheduled to expire between June 21, 2026 and June 30, 2026 will now remain valid until July 10, 2026.
This relief covers name reservation applications filed through various MCA services, including:
- RUN (Reserve Unique Name)
- RUN-LLP
- SPICe+ Part A
- Other approved company and LLP name reservation applications
Further, stakeholders whose approved name reservations expired between June 5, 2026 and June 20, 2026 can request an extension up to July 10, 2026 by raising a ticket with the MCA Helpdesk on or before June 30, 2026.
The MCA clarified that such requests will be reviewed individually after verifying the continued availability of the approved name and other relevant details.
Extension for E-Form Resubmission Deadlines
The Ministry has also granted relief regarding e-form resubmissions.
Where the last date for resubmission of an MCA e-form falls between June 21, 2026 and June 30, 2026, the validity period for such Service Request Numbers (SRNs) has automatically been extended until July 10, 2026.
For e-forms whose resubmission deadlines expired between June 5, 2026 and June 20, 2026, stakeholders may seek an extension by submitting a request through the MCA Helpdesk before June 30, 2026.
Cancelled Forms May Be Reopened
In another important relief measure, the MCA stated that e-forms cancelled due to non-resubmission during the affected period may be reopened upon receipt of a request through the MCA Helpdesk.
After verification and approval, such forms will be restored and made available for resubmission up to July 10, 2026.
Major Relief for Compliance Filers
The announcement is expected to benefit company secretaries, chartered accountants, cost accountants, legal professionals, startups, LLPs, and companies that were facing challenges in completing MCA-related filings due to system disruptions.
The extension provides additional time to complete pending compliance requirements and reduces the risk of procedural lapses arising from technical difficulties during the restoration period.
