The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has once again extended the validity of the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026), giving companies additional time to complete their pending statutory filings.
As per MCA General Circular No. 04/2026 dated August 31, 2026, the scheme has now been extended up to September 15, 2026.
The latest extension follows representations received from various stakeholders seeking additional time to comply with pending filing requirements.

CCFS-2026 Deadline Extended to September 15
The Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 was originally introduced by the MCA through General Circular No. 01/2026 dated February 24, 2026.
The scheme was initially operational up to July 15, 2026. Subsequently, MCA extended the deadline to August 31, 2026, through General Circular No. 03/2026 dated July 8, 2026.
With the latest circular, companies have now been given another opportunity to take advantage of the scheme. The revised last date is September 15, 2026.
Why Has MCA Extended CCFS-2026?
The latest extension comes after the Ministry received representations from various stakeholders requesting more time to complete pending statutory filings.
Recognising the need for additional time, the competent authority has approved a further extension of the scheme.
The move is particularly relevant for companies that have not yet completed their outstanding compliance requirements and were unable to do so within the earlier deadline.

What Should Companies Do Now?

Since the MCA has specifically stated that all other terms and conditions of CCFS-2026 remain unchanged , companies should continue to follow the requirements and conditions prescribed under the original scheme.
The extension should therefore not be viewed as a relaxation of the scheme's other conditions, but as additional time to comply within the permitted framework.
MCA's Latest Extension Provides a Final Compliance Window
The extension of CCFS-2026 till September 15 gives companies another opportunity to address pending statutory compliance matters.
With the revised deadline approaching, companies and their professionals should avoid waiting until the last few days and review pending filings at the earliest.
The latest circular has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and has been circulated to the concerned Registrars of Companies, Regional Directors and stakeholders.
