The Income Tax Department on Tuesday carried out coordinated search operations on two of Hyderabad's most popular food chains - Pista House and Shahgouse Hotel. The raids were conducted simultaneously at the brands' corporate offices as well as the residences of their owners.
According to officials, four specialised IT teams were deployed as part of the operation. Both food businesses, known for their expansive culinary chains across the city, reportedly generate annual revenues running into several hundred crores, prompting the tax department to examine their financial records.

Sources said that the searches were still underway and further details about the findings are awaited.
In a separate development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday launched a major search operation in connection with the ongoing probe into the Delhi terror attack case, which involved a car blast near the Red Fort.
The ED conducted raids starting at 5 am across 25 locations in Delhi and nearby regions. Key locations under investigation include the Okhla office of Al-Falah University, headquartered in Faridabad, along with premises linked to its trustees and associated entities.
Officials confirmed that the raids are part of efforts to trace financial links and uncover potential funding channels connected to the terror incident. The operation continues as teams scan digital records, financial statements, and communication logs.
