The Income Tax Department, via their official Twitter handle, cautioned the taxpayers of a fake link that has been circulating and is promising to give a refund. The department clarified that such phishing messages are not being sent out by the IT Department. Read the official message below:

Please do not click on any such fake link which promises to give refund. These phishing messages are not sent by ITDeptt. Any response is to be made only by logging into your e-filing account and NEVER on email/links/forms.
