NOTIFICATION

ICMAI Extends MCBT Deadline to 31st Dec 2021

Subject: Extension of time granted to undergo MCBT upto 31st December, 2021

Re: For COP taken during the period 1st February, 2019 to 31st March, 2021

As per the Notification F.No.CWA/21/2019 dated 15th February, 2019 and subsequent corrigendum dated 8th March, 2019, "A Cost Accountant is required to undergo a mandatory training before applying for Certificate of Practice or within six months of getting the Certificate of Practice".

The practicing members who have taken the Certificate of Practice (COP) during the period 1st February, 2019 to 31st March, 2021 and have not undergone the Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) and have to renew their COP for the year 2021-22 needs to register and undertake MCBT.

If the Certificate of Practice (COP) of the practising members is not renewed for the year 2021-22 due to not undertaking Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT), it might cause hardship to those members who survive exclusively on practice notwithstanding the fact that compliance of the notified conditions as per the Notification F.No.CWA/21/2019 dated 1st February, 2019 and subsequent corrigendum dated 8th March, 2019.

In view of the above, it has been decided to grant extension of time for successful completion of Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) upto 31st December, 2021 to the practicing members who have taken Certificate of Practice (COP) during the period 1st February, 2019 to 31st March, 2021 and have not undergone the Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) and desirous of renewing their COP for the year 2021-22.
