ICAI to conduct CA Final Exams Twice a Year from May 2026 Onwards

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced a significant change in the CA Final Examination schedule, bringing a new exam pattern for aspirants across the country.

In an important announcement released on April 6, 2026, ICAI confirmed that CA Final exams will now be conducted twice a year, instead of the current three attempts annually.

2026 Examination onwards

Presently, Chartered Accountants Final Examinations are being conducted thrice a year i.e, in the months of January, May and September. However, in view of the feedback from the stakeholders, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has decided that CA Final Examinations shall be conducted twice a year in the months of May and November with effect from May 2026 Chartered Accountants Examination and onwards.
