ICAI Global Career E-Kit:
In an era which is characterized by operation of transnational businesses and seamless trade across frontiers, the demand for Chartered Accountancy professionals with global mindset has catapulted to newer horizons. A latent need existed for providing information in the form of ready reckoner to potential aspirants for tapping such global opportunities. Fulfilling this void, ICAI has now launched Global Career E-Kits of UAE, Kuwait, Muscat and Doha Chapters of ICAI to facilitate members to leverage global opportunities. These E-Kits provide panoramic view of the primary information to our members intending to go abroad for professional forays. As a protagonist of global mobility, the Action Plan 2014-15 outlines this as a key focus area to aid members knowledge building in the county specific local environment.
How these operate is important to know. While, there is information galore, a need was felt to have quality and precise information which is of relevance and utility and to that extent, these global E-Kits would serve as one point stop for providing important authentic information at one go.
These Global Career E-Kits covers general information of related jurisdiction such as demographic details, economic environment, useful business information, visa requirements etc. In addition, useful information such as contact details of local chapter, information on MoU/MRA and FAQs for members abroad is also included in these E-Kits. These E-Kits are likely to assist our members to establish a preliminary interface with the jurisdiction to serve in times to come.
ICAI currently has 23 Chapters abroad and it is endeavored to develop E-Kits on country wise basis for important locations for the benefit of ICAI member community. It is foreseen that the membership at large will benefit immensely from these E-Kits.
