ICAI has extended the registration validity as a one-time measure due to the cancellation and merging of the May 2020 examinations with the November 2020 examinations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The validity of registration has been extended by up to one year for students at all levels.

Students whose registration validity expired between 1st May 2020 and 30th April 2021 (inclusive) will have their registration remain valid until 1st May 2021.

No, students whose registration validity expires between 1st May 2020 and 30th April 2021 do not need to revalidate their registration.

These students can appear in the November 2020 and May 2021 examinations without revalidating their registrations.

Students whose registration expires on or after 2nd May 2021 will need to revalidate their registration for the November 2021 examination.
