FAQ :

PAFA, the Pan African Federation of Accountants, is a non-profit organisation established in 2011 with 55 Professional Accountancy Organisations from 44 African countries. Its mission is to accelerate and strengthen the voice and capacity of the accountancy profession to work in the public interest, facilitate trade, and enhance benefits and quality services for Africa's citizens.

ICAI has joined PAFA to expand its global outreach, get a foothold in African regions, connect closely with professional organisations in African countries, and promote its globally relevant initiatives within these jurisdictions.

ICAI has a strong base in Africa with approximately 2,500 members, 6 overseas Chapters, and 13 Representative Offices. They also have agreements with SAICA (South Africa), the National Board of Accountants & Auditors (Tanzania), and ICPAK (Kenya).

ICAI has offered African PAOs its initiatives such as Unique Documents Identification Number (UDIN), Digital Learning Hub, and Digital Competency Maturity Model (DCMM) 2.0.

ICAI believes its membership will provide impetus for developing the accountancy profession in Africa. Furthermore, strong relations and presence in the region could facilitate foreign investment into India, supporting the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision.
