CABF is offering relaxed financial assistance for the medical treatment of COVID-19 to its members and their dependents.
Dependent parents are now eligible for financial assistance with no age bar, provided the member's family's gross total income as per the Income Tax Act is less than Rs. 10 lacs.
Yes, financial assistance will be considered for the remaining amount after a member has received partial claims from an insurance company, including for dependents.
Yes, dependent parents are now eligible if the total gross income of the member's family, as per the Income Tax Act, is less than Rs. 10 lacs. Previously, dependent parents with income were not eligible.
The relaxed norms are applicable for hospitalisation cases on or after 26th April 2021.
Members can apply using the prescribed Application Form-cum-Undertaking available on the ICAI website. For more details, they can email covidassitance@icai.in.
