GSTN has implemented biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification for GST registration applicants in Maharashtra and Lakshadweep.
The biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification functionality was rolled out in Maharashtra and Lakshadweep on 8th February, 2025.
After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive an email with either a link for OTP-based Aadhaar authentication or a link to book an appointment for biometric Aadhaar authentication and document verification at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK).
You will need to bring a copy of your appointment confirmation email, details of your jurisdiction, your original Aadhaar Card and PAN Card, and the original documents uploaded with your application.
Your ARN (Application Reference Number) will be generated once the biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification process at the GSK is completed.
