GSTN has introduced biometric Aadhaar authentication and document verification for GST registration applicants in Madhya Pradesh. This involves either OTP-based Aadhaar authentication or visiting a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric verification and original document checks.
The new biometric-based Aadhaar authentication functionality was rolled out in Madhya Pradesh on 27th November 2024.
After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants will receive an email with a link for either OTP-based Aadhaar authentication or to book an appointment at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric authentication and document verification.
When visiting a GSK, applicants need to carry a copy of the appointment confirmation email, details of their jurisdiction, original Aadhaar Card and PAN Card, and the original documents uploaded with the application.
ARNs will be generated only after the biometric-based Aadhaar Authentication process and document verification are successfully completed.
