The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has introduced a new facility that allows taxpayers to make GST payments seamlessly through UPI and debit/credit cards. This marks a major step in enhancing convenience and digital accessibility for businesses and individuals.
Currently, the facility is available in 26 States and Union Territories, including Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and more. The remaining states and banks are expected to be covered soon.

Taxpayers can now make payments using all UPI platforms and cards powered by Rupay, MasterCard, Visa and Diners, routed through partner banks such as Axis Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank, Bandhan Bank, ICICI Bank, Indian Bank, Karnataka Bank, South Indian Bank, and others.
This initiative is aimed at making GST compliance faster, simpler, and more inclusive, especially for small taxpayers and businesses that rely on digital transactions.
