The E-Way Bill 2 Portal is designed to ensure high availability and runs in parallel to the main e-way Bill portal. It synchronises e-way bill details with the main portal and can be used during technical glitches or other exigencies.
Currently, the E-Way Bill 2 Portal provides critical services for e-way bills, including generation and updating. It supports both web and API modes of operation and will gradually be extended with other services.
Yes, taxpayers and logistic operators can use the same login credentials for the E-Way Bill 2 Portal as they use for the main e-way Bill portal.
If the main E-Way Bill portal is non-operational due to technical reasons, the E-Way Bill 2 Portal can be used to update Part-B of e-way bills generated on the main portal, and taxpayers should carry both e-way bill slips.
