Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in a debate in the Lok Sabha on 23rd March 2021 regarding the Finance Bill 2021, made clear to the Parliament members that GST-related matters are not similar to that of the Ministry of Finance matters as the decisions related to GST are made by the GST Council, wherein, all state ministers of Finance are members.
