CESTAT is commemorating its 40th anniversary, marking a glorious and successful journey since its inception.
The inaugural function will be presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest.
The Guest of Honour at the commemoration will be Hon'ble Mr. Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.
The working sessions will cover the 'Use of Technology in Tribunals for Speedy Delivery of Justice' and 'Experiments of Tribunals – Triumphs and Tribulations'.
CESTAT was constituted on October 11, 1982, under Article 323B of the Constitution of India and Section 129 of the Customs Act, 1962.
Recent improvements include uploading all orders promptly on the website, facilitating virtual hearings during the pandemic, and implementing dynamic display boards in courtrooms.
