FAQ :
The CBIC has made amendments regarding the fixation of tariff values for edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nut, gold, and silver.
The amendments are made to Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated 3rd August 2001.
The new tariff values for edible oils include Crude Palm Oil at US $847 per metric tonne, RBD Palm Oil at US $880 per metric tonne, and Crude Soya bean Oil at US $957 per metric tonne, among others.
The tariff value for Brass Scrap (all grades) has been fixed at US $3985 per metric tonne.
For gold, the tariff value is US $603 per 10 grams. For silver, the tariff value is US $781 per kilogram.
The tariff value for Areca nuts is US $3709 per metric tonne.
