The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has made further amendments to the Finance Ministry's Notification No. 63/1994-Customs (N.T.).
The notification being amended is the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 63/1994-Customs (N.T.), dated 21st November 1994.
The list of designated land customs stations has been expanded to include Balat, Kalaichar, Srinagar, Kamalasagar, Bholaganj, Nalikata, and Ryngku.
Yes, the restriction appointing Nagarkata as a Land Customs Station solely for the import of Ginger, Orange, and Cardamom has been omitted.
The CBIC is exercising the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962.
