The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has announced an extension for the deadline to submit outward supply details in FORM GSTR-1. This change, effective from 1st January 2021, means registered persons will now have until the eleventh day of the following month to file. For those filing quarterly, the deadline is extended to the thirteenth day of the month succeeding the tax period.

FAQ :
The CBIC has extended the time limit for furnishing outward supply details in FORM GSTR-1.
This notification comes into force with effect from the 1st day of January, 2021.
The time limit for furnishing GSTR-1 for monthly filers is extended till the eleventh day of the month succeeding the tax period.
For registered persons filing returns quarterly, the deadline is extended till the thirteenth day of the month succeeding the tax period.
The extension applies to FORM GSTR-1, which is used for furnishing details of outward supplies.
