The Chairman of CBIC, Sh. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, has launched the GSTN Back Office application specifically for CBIC officers. This new system is designed to bring greater scale, speed, and uniformity to indirect tax administration. By shifting backend operations to the GSTN Back Office, which is already used by state GST administrations, CBIC aims to meet future requirements and provide a consistent taxpayer experience across the nation.
In a significant milestone in the digital transformation of CBIC, Sh. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman CBIC launched the GSTN Back Office application for CBIC officers which will bring scale, speed and uniformity in the indirect tax administration.
To meet the future requirements of CBIC and to provide a uniform experience for the taxpayers in the tax administration, it was decided to shift the backend operations of GST to GSTN BO which is at present used by all the State GST administrations.
