Shri M. Ajit Kumar, Chairman of the CBIC, inaugurated the Customs & GST pavilion.
The pavilion is located in Hall no.12 of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The pavilion aims to educate visitors about compliance requirements under GST and Customs Acts, and inform them about various trade facilitation measures.
Sessions are being organised on initiatives such as the Manufacturing and other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (MOOWR) Scheme, Production linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, and Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty Rules, 2017 (IGCR, 2017).
Six Helpdesks are set up for GST, Customs, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme, GSTN, and Systems, with officers available to assist visitors.
The public is being engaged and educated through quiz competitions, nukkad nataks, pantomimes, and interactions with sports persons employed by the Department.
