The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has processed a significant number of tax refunds, disbursing over £1.15 trillion to more than 98.90 lakh taxpayers. This period, from April 1st to November 8th, 2021, saw both income tax and corporate tax refunds being issued. A substantial portion of these refunds, amounting to £12,616.79 crore, were for Assessment Year 2021-22.
CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 1,15,917 crore to more than 98.90 lakh taxpayers from 1st April,2021 to 8th November, 2021. Income tax refunds of Rs. 36,000 crore have been issued in 97,12,911 cases corporate tax refunds of Rs. 79,917 crore have been issued in 1,77,184 cases.
