The Income Tax Department has announced that it issued over Rs. 2,00,411 crore in refunds to more than 2.02 crore taxpayers. This period covers 1st April 2020 to 8th March 2021. The refunds were split between individual income tax and corporate tax.
The Income Tax Department, via their official Twitter handle, has released the figures of Income Tax Refunds made between 1st April 2020 and 8th March2021. Know the amount of total refund and itsbifurcation below:
