The ACB set a trap and apprehended the officers red-handed, leading to their arrest under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

A Senior Account Officer and an Assistant Account Officer of the CGST office in Vapi were arrested by the ACB.
They were arrested for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a local nursery owner to clear a pending bill.
