On 9th June 2021, Adv. Anubha Shrivastava Sahai filed a PIL in the Supreme Court on behalf of 987 students. In the first hearing of the PIL, ICAI has given its response towards the submissions made by the CA Students via their Writ Petition.
6000 CA students have written a representation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to request him to postpone the CA Exams by some days so that 3,00,000 students who are appearing for the exams can get vaccinated.
The PIL filed on behalf of 987 students across 20 states and 3 UTs by Advocate Anubha Shrivastava seeking relief measures is scheduled to be heard by the Supreme Court on Monday, 28th June 2021.
ICSI has decided to financially support students who have lost both or either of their parents or legal guardian due to any reason. These students can now avail a 100% concession in fee, payable at the time of registration to the CS Executive Programme.
ICMAI CAT (Foundation Level) Exam will be held on 25th July 2021 via Online Mode. The exam will have Multiple Choice Questions to be answered online from home. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
ICSI at its 277th meeting held on 19.06.2021 has decided to grant exemption to Graduates and Post Graduates from recognized Universities from appearing in CSEET and enabling them to take direct admission in CS Executive Programme.
Under the amended Regulations, articled assistants who have passed the CA Intermediate paper and have completed a minimum of eighteen months of practical training shall be eligible for industrial training.
6000 students have pled the Chief Justice of India - Hon'ble Justice Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana to direct ICAI to provide an unconditional Opt Out Facility, increase in number of attempts for Old Course Students and to conduct an additional examination.
It has been clarified by ICAI that it is not possible to accede to the request of the candidates of Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Chennai and Pune for transfer to an examination centre in a particular zone of the city opted by them.
The opt out can be exercised by login into the examination portal and submitting the COVID-19 positive RTPCR Report, Aadhar Card and Self Declaration form as prescribed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
