The 57th meeting of the GST Council is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in New Delhi, according to an Office Memorandum issued by the GST Council Secretariat.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM onwards. An Officers' Meeting will also precede the main GST Council meeting on September 11, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM.

As per the Office Memorandum, the 57th GST Council Meeting will take place on:

The notice conveys that the meeting will be attended by the Hon’ble Members of the GST Council.
Officers' Meeting on September 11
Ahead of the main Council meeting, an Officers’ Meeting has also been scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, in New Delhi.
The Officers’ Meeting will commence at 11:00 AM onwards.
The two-day schedule indicates that discussions and preparations will take place at the officers’ level before the GST Council convenes for its 57th meeting.
GST Council Meeting Agenda Yet to Be Communicated
While the date and schedule of the meetings have been formally notified, the Office Memorandum states that the venue details and agenda items for both the 57th GST Council Meeting and the Officers’ Meeting will be communicated in due course.
Therefore, specific decisions or proposals to be considered at the upcoming meeting cannot be confirmed based on the present notice.

Invitation Extended to GST Council Members
The memorandum further directs that the invitation be conveyed to the Hon’ble Members of the GST Council to attend the 57th meeting.
The notice has been issued by Arvind Shrivastava, Secretary to the Government of India and ex-officio Secretary to the GST Council.
