The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council is set to convene its 56th meeting on September 3 and 4, 2025, in New Delhi. According to an official memorandum, the sessions will begin at 11:00 AM on both days.

Ahead of the key deliberations, an Officers' Meeting has been scheduled for September 2, 2025, also at 11:00 AM in New Delhi. This preparatory session will set the groundwork for discussions at the Council meeting.
The detailed agenda and venue details for the meetings will be released in due course. All members of the GST Council have been formally invited to participate in the upcoming discussions, which are expected to cover crucial issues related to indirect tax policies, compliance and revenue matters.
