Last updated: 01 August 2018

About the Placement Assistance Programme for Industrial Training - August, 2018 ( II ):

ICAI has initiated an Industrial Training Placement Assistance Programme with the help of the Bangalore Decentralized Office of ICAI to aid the CA students across India in getting suitable placement assistance for Industrial Training. The eligibility criteria for this programme is as under: -

  • Candidate should have completed IPCC / Intermediate Level (Both Groups)
  • Candidate should have at-least 10 months* of article-ship period remaining (as on 01-Aug-2018)
  • The above period is excluding excess leaves.

*The actual eligibility is clearance of both groups of IPCE/Intermediate with at-least 9 months of actual article-ship period (excluding excess leaves) remaining. However, candidates would require up to one additional month to get shortlisted & Interviewed by the participating companies. This duration may make them ineligible. Hence a minimum period of 10 months of actual article-ship is recommended for students filling the form.

So far, the following companies have approached the ICAI with their interest in participating in this programme:

  • Infosys
  • Amazon India
  • Caterpillar India
  • Arcesium
  • Goldman Sachs
  • Wipro
  • Dell India

Kindly note that the above-mentioned companies are yet to register for the process. We expect more companies to approach us once the date (I.e. August 10th ) nears. This facility is free of cost.

Please also note that although some companies have requirements pan India, however, most of the companies approaching us are operating out of Bengaluru. Therefore their jobs offer may primarily be for the same city as well.

Following are the steps that interested candidates need to follow:

Step 1: Determine eligibility for Industrial Training as of 1st August 2018 with a minimum of 10 months of the original article-ship period remaining (one month may get consumed in the process).

Step 2: Send your details and queries at Kulashekhar@icai.in

Step 3: Wait for the companies to approach you. If the company is interviewing you for the city in which they want to hire trainees then you shall be called for an interview to their campus, else the interview shall be conducted over Skype or a similar medium.
